New requirements for entering Canary Islands tourist accommodation

These are the new tourist accommodation entry requirements for all guests aged six years and over from outside the Canary Islands:

  • Test negative for active Covid-19 infection within the last 72 hours.
  • Have been fully vaccinated in the last eight months, certified by an official document showing the vaccine received, the number of doses and the date of administration.
  • Have received a dose more than 15 days ago and in the last four months before travelling, certified by an official document showing the vaccine received and the date of administration.
  • Have had Covid within six months of the date of travel, certified by an official medical certificate or public document showing the date of the illness.

Exceptions

  • Persons who can prove they are Canary Islands residents and make a sworn statement declaring they have not been out of the Islands in the last 15 days before arriving at their accommodation and have not had symptoms suggestive of Covid-19 in that time.
  • Non-residents in the Canary Islands whose travel document proves they have been in the Islands for 15 days before entering the accommodation and who declare they have not had symptoms suggestive of Covid-19 in that time.
  • Persons who can prove they were away from the Canary Islands for less than 72 hours before arrival and were in the Islands in the last 15 days and declare they have not had symptoms suggestive of Covid-19 in that time.
