The Woermann Building in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria will be the venue for the future centre for the dissemmination of tourist know-how. The facilities, which are owned by the Government of the Canary Islands, will be equipped with rooms for holding events, training and other activities. The centre will also be home to the Promotur Turismo de Canarias offices, joining those of the Hoteles Escuela de Canarias, Hecansa, which have already been there for a while.

Covering an area of over 1,500 square metres, the new offices will offer a wide range of activities including innovation, communication, training, dissemmination, awareness and cooperation with both public and private entities, in an open space whose purpose will be to contribute to the improvement in competitiveness of the Canaries’ tourist model through courses, workshops, conferences, exhibitions, research projects, demostrations, showcookings, professional meetings and the mentoring of business initiatives.

Meanwhile, with Hecansa and Promotur co-habiting the building, together with the activities to be carried out at the centre itself, the site will generate an enhancement to the positive impact that both entities bring to the tourist industry in the areas of training, research, promotion and connectivity management. It represents a concerted effort to generate yet more synergies in the business sector and society as a whole, as both companies converge in a common and open project.
