The Canary Islands stand at Fitur wins two awards at the Eventex Awards 2026
The international Eventex Awards jury, comprising event journalists, association and convention bureau executives, creatives, influencers, and industry thought leaders, recognised the stand’s ability to “convey the destination’s identity through a contemporary experiential proposal aligned with a strategy focused on generating greater reputational value for the archipelago”.
The experts also concluded that “the project successfully combined visual and experiential impact with a clear strategic purpose, demonstrating that large immersive spaces can be technologically advanced, commercially effective, and environmentally responsible at the same time”.
The international Eventex Awards jury recognised the Canary Islands stand’s ability to combine visual and experiential impact with a clear strategic purpose.
Developed in partnership with TARS Design, the Canary Islands stand featured a 1,770-square-metre immersive space inspired by the concept “The Best Climate in the World”. The proposal combined parametric architecture, kinetic lighting, AI-powered interactive content, and sustainable materials to transform the stand into a sensory experience focused on the future of tourism.
A sustainable stand
The stand also reinforced the Canary Islands’ positioning as a leading sustainable tourism destination, achieving a 22% reduction in transport volume compared to the previous edition and a 16% reduction in carbon footprint per square metre. In addition, nearly 90% of the materials used were designed for reuse at future events.
Alongside these international recognitions, the Canary Islands space had already been named Best Stand at Fitur 2025 in the Institutions and Autonomous Communities category, an award granted among 806 exhibitors from 152 countries and regions. On that occasion, the proposal was particularly praised for its aesthetic coherence, commitment to sustainability, and technological ambition.
