The Canary Islands brand is visiting Vienna this weekend to display its potential as a golf destination before 120 business people with high purchasing power who have confirmed their attendance at the Perfect Eagle Golf Trophy. This is one of the most prestigious international tournaments and is held at the exclusive ‘La Fontana’ golf club in the Austrian capital. The event’s sponsor aims to advertise the archipelago to more than a hundred business people holding positions in large companies, many of them chairpersons or in senior positions, who are largely influential in their circles.

The image of the islands will be advertised during the event and share the stage with Turespaña, Promotur Turismo de Canarias’ joint sponsor. Also coinciding with the championship, one of the most prestigious magazines in Austria, south Germany and Switzerland (recently launched), Golf Perfect Eagle, is to publish a report on the Canary Islands with the issue being distributed to 481 golf clubs.

Fifty-eight per cent of golfers who visit the Canary Islands stay in 4 and 5-star hotels and require sophisticated cuisine, as well as playing on various courses during their visit and enjoying the beaches and the climate.
